Tunnel

In the city of Vlaardingen, a pedestrian tunnel connects the city center to the Indische Buurt. Its original mural had been heavily defaced over the years, and it was time for something new.

We gave the tunnel a fresh artistic identity. The visual concept reflects the connection between both neighborhoods and symbolically, between two cultures. One side of the tunnel shows local Dutch flora and fauna, the other side their Indonesian counterparts.
